Félix, el tejedor feliz / Felix, the Happy Knitter

Este sábado pasado 10 de junio se celebró el Día Mundial de Tejer en Público, así que Félix, el tejedor feliz, decidió ir al parque a tejer un poco.

Last Saturday 10th June it was the Worldwide Knit in Public Day, so Felix, the happy knitter, decided to go to the park and knit a bit.

Bajó al Parque de la España Industrial en Barcelona, donde le gusta ir de vez en cuando, y buscó un lugar soleado donde ponerse... como hacía un día tan bueno, quiso aprovechar para ver si se ponía algo moreno. 

He went to the Parc de l'Espanya Industrial, in Barcelona, where he likes to go from time to time, and he looked for a sunny place... it was such a wonderful day that he wanted to sunbathe at the same time. 

Se puso crema del sol y allá fue con sus agujas. ¡No veáis qué calor hacía! le dije que se fuera a la sombra pero ni caso, así que se estuvo achicharrando un rato tejiendo su bufanda amarilla, pero tan feliz :))) 

So, he put sunscreen on and there he went with his needles. But it was so hot out there! I told him to sit in the shade, but he ignored me, and he was there roasting under the sun while he was knitting his yellow scarf.

Por cierto, teníais que verme haciendo fotos a Félix en el parque... a mí que enseñar lo que hago en público me da mucho corte... fui a una hora no muy concurrida y sólo me faltaba ir de camuflaje para pasar desapercibida jajaja 

By the way, you should have seen me taking some photos to Felix at the park... I'm really shy and it's very embarrassing for me to show what I do ... so I went to the park at a not busy time and I just had to wear a camouflage dress on hahaha.

Cojín portaalianzas / Wedding Ring Pillow

Me hizo mucha ilusión cuando mi primo y su novia (bueno, ahora ya mujer) me pidieron en Navidades que les hiciera el cojín portaalianzas del día de su boda. Eso sí, no tenían ninguna idea sobre lo que querían, sólo que fuera algo hecho por mí :)))

I was thrilled when my cousin and her fiancé (well, she's now his wife) asked me last Christmas to do their wedding ring pillow. They had no idea of what they wanted, but they just knew they wanted something made by me :)))

Estuve pensando en varias propuestas, y finalmente se me ocurrió que, como iban de viaje de novios a Japón, les podría gustar unas flores de cerezo bordadas. ¡Les encantó la idea! 

I thought about some different proposals but, finally, as their honeymoon was in Japan, I thought they could like some embroidered cherry flowers on it. They loved this idea! 

Buscando ideas por Internet, encontré el patrón gratuito de DMC "Hello Japan Flor de Cerezo". Era perfecto para este proyecto, sólo tuve que adaptarlo a la forma y tamaño del cojín.

When I was looking for some ideas on Internet, I found the free pattern by DMC called "Hello Japan Flor de Cerezo". It was perfect for this project, so I just had to adapt it to the size and shape of the ring pillow.

Aparte de la rama con las flores, bordé también sus nombres y la fecha de la boda.

Apart from the cherry blossom branch, I also embroidered their names and the wedding date.

En el centro del cojín, puse un cordón de satén del mismo color que las flores para atar los anillos.

In the center of the pillow I sewed a pink satin cord to tie the wedding rings. 

¡Les encantó! Y me han dicho que ahora lo tienen en la vitrina del comedor de su casa, ¡qué monos! jajaja 
Os podéis imaginar que ha sido un proyecto que he disfrutado y he hecho con mucho cariño. Es muy entrañable poder contribuir de alguna manera en el día más especial de dos personas :)))

They loved it! And they've told me that they have put it in the glass cabinet at the living room... so sweet! hahaha
You can imagine it has been a project I have enjoyed a lot and I have made with all my love. It's great to contribute somehow in such a special day :)))

María de Tournicote / Mariette by Tournicote

Estas Navidades (sí, todavía no os lo había enseñado!) le regalé a mi tía a Mariette, un amigurumi diseñado por Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote) que aparece en su libro Ganchillo con Ternura.

Last Christmas (yes, I hadn't show it to you yet!) I gave Mariette to my aunt, an amigurumi designed by Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote) from her book Sweet Crochet.

Es la segunda que hago y las dos las he regalado. Quiero hacerme una para mí porque me encanta este diseño. 
Ésta la he hecho en este color mostaza tan bonito. La primera la hice en malva y quedaba también preciosa (la podéis ver en este enlace).

It's the second time I make this design and I have given both of them. I want to make another one for me because I love this amigurumi. 
I've crocheted this one in this beautiful mustard. The first one I made was mauve and it was also lovely (you can see her clicking on this link).

A mi tía le gustó muchísimo! No se lo esperaba y fue toda una sorpresa :)

My aunt really loved it! She didn't expect it and it was a complete surprise :)

Zorros de Pica Pau / Pica Pau's Foxes

Casi sin darme cuenta, he estado más de 2 meses sin publicar!! y no quiero que me vuelva a pasar. Tengo claro que tengo que organizarme mejor, porque si lo pienso, tampoco he hecho nada especial... aunque si los días tuvieran unas cuantas horas más, no iría nada mal ;)

Without being aware of it, I have been more than 2 months without publishing anything!! and I don't want that it happens again. I know for sure that I need to get more organized, because, if I think about it, I haven't done anything so special... but if days were longer than 24 hours, it would be great ;)

Aunque no haya publicado, no he dejado de hacer cosas. Hoy os enseño los zorros patilargos que les he tejido a mis sobrinos: el verde menta para Bruno (és estuvo encantado con su zorro ártico), el naranja para Simón y el rojo para Fabio.

Although I haven't published a post, I haven't stopped doing things. Today I'm showing you the longlegged foxes I crocheted to my nephews: the mint one for Bruno (he loved his Arctic Fox), the orange one for Simon and the red one for Fabio.

El patrón de este amigurumi tan simpático está en el libro El mundo de Pica Pau. Ya he hecho unos cuantos amigurumis de esta diseñadora y todos han tenido mucho éxito.

The pattern of this lovely amigurumi is included in the book El Mundo de Pica Pau (Pica Pau's World). I have already made some amigurumies from this designer and all of them have been very successful. 

Espero volver a coger el ritmo de mis publicaciones.

Últimamente me he dado cuenta que me encantan las colchas multicolores de estilo moderno. ¡Son tan alegres!

I have realized that I love modern rainbow quilts. They are so cheerful!

He tenido la gran suerte de ganar estas telas tan bonitas en el concurso #whatshadeareyou que organizó RJR Fabrics en Instagram. Y además fueron súper amables porque les devolvieron las telas y me las volvieron a enviar :))) 

I have been really like to win these beautiful fabrics on the #whatshadeareyou giveaway organized by RJR Fabrics on Instagram. And they were incredibly kind because they were returned the fabrics and they sent them to me again :)))

Just Acorn Dolls: Unicornio / Unicorn

¿Os acordáis que hace unas semanas os presentaba en un post al Bebé Unicornio que recibí de Liberty Lavender Dolls? Pues no puedo estar más contenta! Mamá Unicornio, de la creadora de muñecas Just Acorn, ha llegado finalmente a casa! 

Do you remember that some weeks ago I showed you the Baby Unicorn I received from Liberty Lavender Dolls? I couldn't be happier now! Mama Unicorn, by the doll maker Just Acorn, is finally at home!

Bárbara (Just Acorn) me envió a Mamá Unicornio a finales de noviembre, pero como ha salido aventurera, decidió viajar por Europa un par de meses antes de decidirse a venir a casa.

Barbara (Just Acorn) sent me Mama Unicorn at the end on November, but she is an adventurer and decided to travel around Europe for two months before coming home.

No veáis qué alegría cuándo recibí la notificación de Correos para ir a buscarla! Ya la daba por perdida, y hubiera sido una verdadera pena que un trabajo tan bonito se hubiera quedado encerrado en una caja para siempre.

You can imagine how pleased I was when I received the Post Office notice to pick her up! I thought she was lost, and it would have been a pity that such a wonderful work would have been closed in a box forever.

Es tan bonita y única! Es una muñeca tan delicada y sus acabados son tan perfectos! 

She's so beautiful and unique! She's so delicate and perfect!
