Sí, sí, ya ha salido! Este año también me he apuntado al swap de adornos navideños organizado por FreshlyBlended. El año pasado fue la primera vez que me apunté a este swap y la verdad es que fue una experiencia muy buena, así que ya tenía ganas de que saliera esta 4ª edición.
Yes!! This year I've also signed up for the 4th Annual Holiday Ornament Swap organized by Freshly Blended. Last year it was the first time I took part in this swap and it was a very nice experience, so I was really looking forward to this new edition.

De vuelta / Back again

Pues ya se han acabado las vacaciones! y qué rápido que han pasado! Espero que tod@s hayáis disfrutado mucho!! Aparte de descansar, estar con mi sobrinillo (y familia, por supuesto), leer y tomar el sol, no he hecho nada de nada!

So my holidays are finished now! and they have gone so quickly! I hope you all have enjoyed yours!! Apart from having a rest, being with my little nephew (and my family, of course), reading and sunbathing, I have done not a thing!

Revista y telas / Magazine & fabrics

Durante mi viaje a Suecia no pude ir de compras (no era cuestión con mi jefe al lado ;)), pero en el aeropuerto me escapé un rato y me compré una revista sueca: Quiltemagasinet.

During my trip to Sweden I couldn't go shopping (it wouldn't have been a good idea to go with my boss ;)), but in the airport I "escaped" for a while and I bought a Swedish magazine: Quiltemagasinet

Cambiando de tema, poco a poco voy avanzando con el camino de mesa. De momento ya he cortado todos los trozos (¡por fin!), así que a ver si ahora voy más rápido....
Changing the subject, I'm making some progress with the table runner. At the moment, I've cut all the pieces (at last!), so let's see if I'm quicker now....

Karlskrona - Suecia / Sweden

Últimamente tengo un montón de trabajo! Lo bueno es que una de las razones ha sido porque he tenido que hacer un viaje por trabajo. Es muy agotador, y pocas veces se puede visitar algo, pero aunque sólo sea por el paisaje, ya vale la pena.

Lately I've been having a lot of work! But, the good thing is that I've made a business travel. It's always tiring, and I can rarely visit anyplace, but just seeing the landscape is enough.

Karlskrona - plaza principal / main square

La semana pasada estuve en Karlskrona (Suecia). Fue realmente un viaje relámpago: el lunes todo el día de viaje (2 aviones), el martes, reuniones en Karlskrona y el miércoles de vuelta a Barcelona (2 aviones más).

Last week I went to Karlskrona (Sweden). It was really a flying visit: on Monday we travelled all day (2 planes); on Tuesday, meetings in Karlskrona; and on Wednesday we came back to Barcelona (2 more planes).

Por suerte, en este viaje, tuvimos un poco de tiempo libre después de cenar (a las 18.30h!), así que pudimos visitar un poco el centro de la ciudad y el puerto.

Luckily, in this trip we enjoyed some free time after dinner (at 6.30pm!), so we could visit the town center and the harbour.

Karlskrona: puerto a las 23.00h / harbour at 11pm

Además, durante el día nos llevaron a visitar el Museo Marítimo de la ciudad, que fue muy interesante.And we could also visit the Maritime Museum of the town, which was very interesting.

En resumen, lo poco que vi me encantó!
In short, the little I've seen I've loved it!

A un ritmo lento / Slowly

Pues sí, me lo he tomado con muchísima calma: 1 mes - 1 bloque. A este ritmo no acabo ni el año que viene el camino de mesa.

So, I'm taking it very slowly and calmy: 1 month - 1 block. At this rate I won't even finish the table runner next year.

Pero, como Laura, estoy enganchada a la trilogía de Millenium. Ya me he leído el primero y ayer empecé el segundo... está super interesante!
But, like Laura, I'm hooked on the Millenium trilogy. I've already read the first one and yesterday I began the second one... it's very interesting!

Voy a empezar un nuevo proyecto: un camino de mesa para mi madre. Estas son las telas que he escogido.

Bueno, pues finalmente, ayer le entregué el regalo a mi hermana: un neceser.

Well, finally yesterday I gave my gift to my sister: a toilet bag.

He tardado dos meses en hacerlo!! Me he dado cuenta de que, en proporción, he tardado mucho más que en hacer la manta para mi sobrino (3 meses, pero era muchísimo más grande!).

It has taken me two months to do it!! I've realized that, in proportion, it has taken me much more time than with the blanket for my nephew (3 months, but it was much bigger!).

Pero bueno, estoy contenta con el resultado y, lo más importante, a mi hermana le ha gustado mucho!

But I'm happy with the result and, the most important, my sister has liked it a lot!

Pues sí, me he equivocado con las medidas de una parte del regalo para mi hermana..... :( Eso me pasa por ir de chula y querer ahorrame tiempo...... hice mal los cálculos, así que lo tengo que repetir...

Yes, I have made a mistake with the size of one part of the present for my sister..... :( It has happened to be "pretentious" and want to save some time..... I miscalculated, so I have to repeat it....

Demasiado pequeño / Too small

Pero bueno, he aprendido lo siguiente:
- las matemáticas son muy importantes en Patchwork
- si se puede hacer una plantilla, mejor: se evitarán equivocaciones

But I have learnt the following:

- if you can make a template, better: mistakes will be avoided

Preparando un regalo/ Preparing a present

Hace ya unos días (por no decir hace más de un mes) empecé a hacer un regalo para mi hermana... que no, todavía no he acabado...

Some days ago (not to say more than one month ago) I began to make a present for my sister... (not, I haven't finished it yet...)

¡Menos mal! Lo primero que hice cuando llegué a casa fue correr a ver mis plantitas... y por suerte sólo han sufrido daños leves: alguna florecilla caída y algo chafadas, pero ¡se han salvado!

Thank goodness! As soon as I got home I ran to see my plants... and, luckily, they have only suffered some slight damages: some fallen flowers and a little flattened, but they have survived!

Colcha colectiva 2009 / Collective Blanket

La semana pasada por fin le envié ya los cuadros a Laura de Hello Mizu para su colcha colectiva. Al final hice 3 (bueno, en realidad fueron 4, pero el primero me quedó tan horrible que no tuve valor para enviarlo...).

Finally, lLast week I sent to Laura (Hello Mizu) the squares for her collective blanket. I made 3 (well, in fact I made 4, but the first one looked so horrible that I didn't have the courage to send it...).

La verdad es que es muy entretenido y me estoy planteando hacerme alguna mantita o algo para el sofá... ya veré, porque puedo tardar años en acabarla...

It's has really been great fun, and now I'm thinking about to make myself a blanket or something to the sofa... I'll see, because it can take me years to finish it...

Esta Semana Santa me he quedado en Barcelona, así que he aprovechado para ordenar y descansar un poco.... y de paso, he arreglado la terraza...

This Easter I have stayed in Barcelona, so I have taken some time to tidy up and to rest... and I have tidy up my balcony...

Ahora que he acabado la mantita voy un poco más relajada. Ahora mismo estoy haciendo los cuadros para la colcha colectiva de Hello Mizu y que espero poder enviarle esta semana ya. Pero la semana pasada fue el cumpleaños de una tía mía, así que le preparé un saquito de lavanda, muy fácil y rápido de hacer.

Now that I've finished the blanket, I'm a little more relaxed. Now I'm crocheting some squares for the collective blanket of Hello Mizu, which I hope I will send during this week. But last week it was my aunt's birthday, so I prepared a lavender sacket, which is very easy and quick to do.

Estoy contentísima! Ha valido la pena todo el esfuerzo y ver la cara que pusieron cuando abrieron el regalo!

Concurso en Mar de Hilos / Giveaway on Mar de Hilos

La semana pasada recibí un mensaje de Mar (Mar de Hilos) diciéndome que tenía algo para mí... cuando vi que había ganado el sorteo que había organizado en su blog ¡¡¡no me lo podía creer!!!!!! Me sentí super afortunada!! Estaba tan contenta!!! y no me pude sacar la sonrisa de mi cara en todo el día!!! ;)
Last week I received a message from Mar (Mar de Hilos) where she informed me that she had something for me.... when I saw that I've won the giveaway she had organized in her blog, I couldn't beleive it!!!!! I felt so lucky!!!! I was so happy!!!! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face!!! ;)

No os podéis imaginar lo emocionante que fue recibir el comprobante de Correos! ¡Qué nervios!!!! ¡Qué emoción!!!!! Y cuando lo abrí me encontré con:

Después de estar más de una semana sin poder hacer nada (demasiado trabajo), ayer por la noche empecé a hilvanar la manta... vamos, que tengo 2 semanas para acabar de hilvanar, acolchar y ponerle el bies... Madre mía!! Acepto palabras de ánimo!! ;)

After being more than one week without doing anything (too much work), last night I began to baste the blanket... so, I've got 2 weeks to baste, quilt and put the border... Oh, my God!! Any encouragement is very welcomed!! ;)
