Mi regalo para el Canvi de Mans/ My gift for Canvi de Mans Swap

Ya os puedo enseñar el regalo que he preparado para el Canvi de Mans organizado por Alícia, del blog Ganxetades. Mi sorprendida, Ester del blog Quan tinc temps, ya lo ha recibido :)))

I can already show you the gift I've prepared for the "Canvi de Mans" Swap organized by Alicia (Ganxetades blog). Ester (Quan tinc temps blog) has already received it :)))

Tenía ganas de prepararle algo que todavía no hubiera hecho nunca así que elegí a Mariette, un amigurumi del libro Ganchillo con Ternura de Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote), y un costurero y alfiletero diseño de Minori Design y que aparece en el libro Zakka Style de Rashida Coleman-Hale. ¡Este libro me encanta! Tiene unos diseños preciosos de estilo zakka que se pueden seguir con bastante facilidad.

I wanted to prepare some projects that I had never done before, so I chose to do Mariette, an amigurumi from the book Sweet Crochet by Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote), and a sewing kit and pincushion from Minori Design included in the book Zakka Style by Rashida Coleman-Hale. I love this book! It has really wonderful zakka projects in it that you can follow quite easily.

Además de los regalos, también teníamos que preparar un kit con material + una idea de proyecto. Yo le he preparado uno para que se haga un monedero con boquilla con las telas a conjunto del costurero.

Apart from the gifts, we also had to prepare a kit with material + a project. I've prepared a metal clasp purse kit with the same fabrics as the ones from the sewing kit.

Aquí podéis ver más en detalle cada uno de los regalos. Ester indicó que le gustaban los proyectos modernos, así que elegí estas telas tan alegres y divertidas que, creo, quedan muy bien con el lino. 

Here you can see each gift in detail. Ester indicated that she loved modern projects, this is why I chose these happy and funny fabrics which, I think, go well with linen.

Hacía algún tiempo que había comprado unos sellos de unos animales del bosque en Tiger pero todavía no los había estrenado, así que pensé que era una buena oportunidad para usarlos.

Some time ago I had bought some woodland stamps at Tiger shop but I had never used them before, so I thought it was a good opportunity to use them.

Y aquí tenéis a Mariette. Conchita me ayudó a montarla, aquí me está pasando las piernecillas...

And here there is Mariette. Conchita helped me to assemble it... here she is giving Mariette's little legs to me...

¿No os parece una monada? Me costó decidirme por el color del cuerpo y del lazo, pero creo que acerté, ¡me encanta cómo combina este malva con el negro! El hilo que utilicé es el Katia Alabama. 

Don't you think she is cute? It took me some time to decide which colours I would use for the body and the bow, but I think I was finally right, I love how mauve and black colours combine! I used Katia Alabama yarns.

Y aquí se están despidiendo las dos, Conchita ya me ha pedido que le haga una nueva amiguita para quedarse con nosotros jejeje

Estuche de lino Zakka / Zakka Patchwork Pencil Case

Manel, mi pareja, lleva desde octubre estudiando inglés pero no fue hasta el otro día que no me di cuenta que llevaba el bolígrafo y el lápiz sueltos... y está claro que eso no podía ser (!!!)

Manel, my partner, is studying English language since last October but until last week I didn't realize he didn't have any pencil case ... and that should obviously be changed (!!!).

Así que le dije que le iba a hacer uno. Su cara fue muy divertida jeje fue una mezcla entre "por fin vas a hacer algo para mí" y "a ver qué me vas a hacer" :P 

So I told him I was going to make him one. He made a funny face hehe He seemed to be saying "you will finally do something for me" and "see what you're going to do" :P

Pero ya os puedo decir que le ha encantado y mañana ya lo va a estrenar!

But he has really loved it and tomorrow he will take it to his classroom.

El diseño es de Shannon Dréval (www.petitsdetails.com) y está incluido en el libro Zakka Style de Rashida Coleman-Hale. Por si no lo conocéis, es un libro totalmente recomendable que incluye 24 proyectos fantásticos de estilo zakka (que en japonés sería algo así como "muchas cosas"). 

The design is from Shannon Dréval (www.petitsdetails.com) and it's included in the book Zakka Style by Rashida Coleman-Hale. In case you don't know it, it's a totally recommended book with 24 zakka fantastic projects (zakka in Japanese is something like "many things").

Es de esos proyectos muy fáciles de seguir y que se hacen en un momento.

It's one of those really quick and easy to follow projects.

He combinado el lino con tres telas de diferentes estampados de una misma colección. Me gusta mucho cómo combinan ya que queda muy alegre y tanto hombres como mujeres pueden usarlo (o eso creo al menos...).

I've combined linen with three printed fabrics that belong to the same collection. I love how they mix as they look very lively and both men and women can use it (or at least I think so...).

SAL de ISI - Cesta Japonesa / Japanese Basket

¡La he terminado! Es una auténtica monada!
I've finished it! It's so cute!

Reconozco que el montaje final me ha costado un poco, pero aún así ha quedado bastante decent.

I have to admit that I found quite difficult to do the final assembly, but it looks quite well.

Quiero darle las gracias a Isi por organizar este SAL , por sus explicaciones y su paciencia.
I want to thank Isi for having organized this SAL, for her explanations and her patience.

Por el momento, he puesto unas cuantas telas. :)

Bordado japonés / Japanese Embroidery

Por su cumpleaños, le regalé a mi hermana un estuche de manicura, pero como no me gustaba el estuche en sí, decidí forrarlo con una funda de patchwork.

On her birthday, I gave to my sister a manicure set. However, I didn't like the case at all, so I decided to cover it with a patchwork work.

Le añadí un bordado japonés que Christy, de Sweet Tidings, nos ofrecía para descargar en este enlace. ¿No os parece monísimo?

I added a Japanese embroidery, which Christy (Sweet Tidings) shared with us in this link. Don't you think it's cute?

La verdad es que me costó un poco coser la funda al estuche (y menos mal que el estuche era de tela!).
Sewing the patchwork cover to the case was quite difficult (and thank godness that the case was made of a kind of fabric!).

Podéis ver que sobre todo una de las esquinas ha quedado bastante arrugada y el bordado ha quedado algo torcido... :(
You can see that one of the corners is quite wrinkled and the embroidery isn't straight... :(

Pero bueno, aún así estoy contenta con el resultado. Y a mi hermana le gustó mucho :)
