Star Wars: Anakin Skywalker & Padmé Amidala

Un compañero de trabajo se casó hace unos días en una boda temática: los novios iban vestidos como Anakin Skywalker y la Reina Amidala en la Guerra de la Galaxia Episodio II: El Ataque de los Clones.

A workmate got married some days ago. They performed a thematic wedding: the couple were dressed as Anakin Skywalker and Queen Amidala in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. 

Además, todos los invitados tenían que ir disfrazados del personaje que quisieran. Algunos fueron de personajes del manga Dragon Ball, hubieron también unos cuantos James Bond, y muchos más. Por las fotos que he visto y por lo que nos ha explicado, tuvo que ser muy divertida.

Also, all the wedding ghests had to disguise as they preferred. Some of them went dressed as Dragon Ball characters, others as James Bond, and many more. From the photos I've seen and from what he has explained to us, the wedding seemed to be really funny.

Como a él le gustan todos los muñecos que les voy haciendo a mis sobrinos, pensé en regalarles unos amigurumies de Anakin Skywalker y la Reina Amidala.

As he likes all the softies I've made to my nephews, I decided to give them the amigurumies of Anakin Skywalker and the Queen Amidala.

Para hacer a la Reina Amidala, en lugar de hacer el muñeco con el vestido de novia, lo hice con este traje rojo tan espectacular que lució en la película. Utilicé el patrón de Defective Geeks y añadí la corona en ganchillo. 

Instead of making the softie of Padmé Amidala with the wedding dress, I used the free pattern published by Defective Geeks with the spectacular red costume the Queen wore in the film. I've added the crown in crochet.

Para hacer a Anakin Skywalker utilicé el patrón de Luke Skywalker de Lucy Ravenscar y le cambié el color del traje y de la espada láser. 

To make the amigurumi of Anakin Skywalker, I used Lucy Ravenscar's pattern of Luke Skywalker and I just changed the colour of the costume and the colour of the lightsaber.

El patrón de la capa con capucha sí que me lo inventé y estoy muy contenta por el resultado. 

I didn't follow any pattern to make the hooded cloak, and I'm very happy with the result.

¡Le encantaron! No se lo esperaba, así que fue toda una sorpresa. Disfruté mucho haciéndoles y sólo con verle la cara de ilusión que puso, ya valió la pena :))) 

He loved them! He didn't expected them, so they were a real surprise. I enjoyed a lot crocheting them and it was worth making them when I saw his enthusiasm face :)))

Mi regalo para el Canvi de Mans/ My gift for Canvi de Mans Swap

Ya os puedo enseñar el regalo que he preparado para el Canvi de Mans organizado por Alícia, del blog Ganxetades. Mi sorprendida, Ester del blog Quan tinc temps, ya lo ha recibido :)))

I can already show you the gift I've prepared for the "Canvi de Mans" Swap organized by Alicia (Ganxetades blog). Ester (Quan tinc temps blog) has already received it :)))

Tenía ganas de prepararle algo que todavía no hubiera hecho nunca así que elegí a Mariette, un amigurumi del libro Ganchillo con Ternura de Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote), y un costurero y alfiletero diseño de Minori Design y que aparece en el libro Zakka Style de Rashida Coleman-Hale. ¡Este libro me encanta! Tiene unos diseños preciosos de estilo zakka que se pueden seguir con bastante facilidad.

I wanted to prepare some projects that I had never done before, so I chose to do Mariette, an amigurumi from the book Sweet Crochet by Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote), and a sewing kit and pincushion from Minori Design included in the book Zakka Style by Rashida Coleman-Hale. I love this book! It has really wonderful zakka projects in it that you can follow quite easily.

Además de los regalos, también teníamos que preparar un kit con material + una idea de proyecto. Yo le he preparado uno para que se haga un monedero con boquilla con las telas a conjunto del costurero.

Apart from the gifts, we also had to prepare a kit with material + a project. I've prepared a metal clasp purse kit with the same fabrics as the ones from the sewing kit.

Aquí podéis ver más en detalle cada uno de los regalos. Ester indicó que le gustaban los proyectos modernos, así que elegí estas telas tan alegres y divertidas que, creo, quedan muy bien con el lino. 

Here you can see each gift in detail. Ester indicated that she loved modern projects, this is why I chose these happy and funny fabrics which, I think, go well with linen.

Hacía algún tiempo que había comprado unos sellos de unos animales del bosque en Tiger pero todavía no los había estrenado, así que pensé que era una buena oportunidad para usarlos.

Some time ago I had bought some woodland stamps at Tiger shop but I had never used them before, so I thought it was a good opportunity to use them.

Y aquí tenéis a Mariette. Conchita me ayudó a montarla, aquí me está pasando las piernecillas...

And here there is Mariette. Conchita helped me to assemble it... here she is giving Mariette's little legs to me...

¿No os parece una monada? Me costó decidirme por el color del cuerpo y del lazo, pero creo que acerté, ¡me encanta cómo combina este malva con el negro! El hilo que utilicé es el Katia Alabama. 

Don't you think she is cute? It took me some time to decide which colours I would use for the body and the bow, but I think I was finally right, I love how mauve and black colours combine! I used Katia Alabama yarns.

Y aquí se están despidiendo las dos, Conchita ya me ha pedido que le haga una nueva amiguita para quedarse con nosotros jejeje

In this photo, Conchita and Mariette are saying goodbye to each other. Conchita has already asked me a new friend to stay with us hehehe

 

He disfrutado muchísimo preparando estos regalos para Ester, ¡espero que los disfrute mucho!

Cigüeña de Pica Pau / Pica Pau's Stork

Esta Semana Santa fui a visitar a mi hermana al pueblo, así que, con tiempo, le pregunté qué les podía hacer para regalar a mis sobrinos. Lo tuvo clarísimo: una cigüeña! Bueno, dos, una para cada uno. Se ve que todos los pueblos de la zona tenían su familia de cigüeñas y después del cole ya se había vuelto una tradición pararse a mirarlas.

Last Easter I visited my sister for a few days, so, in good time, I asked her what could I sew or crochet to my nephews. She was very clear about it: a stork! In fact two, one for each of them. At that time, there was a family of storks in all villages around and, after school, they loved to looked at them.

Me puse a buscar patrones por Internet y encontré a Eugenio, una monada diseñada por Pica Pau que aparece publicado en el libro Zoomigurumi Vol. 3, de Amigurumipatterns. 

So I looked for some stork patterns in Internet and I found Eugenio, a cuteness designed by Pica Pau that is published in the book Zoomigurumi Vol. 3, by Amigurumipatterns.

Para hacerlos, utilicé hilo Katia Alabama en los colores crudo, naranja y pistacho. Como ya os podréis imaginar, el naranja fue para Simón y el verde pistacho para Bruno.

I used Katia Alabama yarns (off-white, orange and pistachio). As you can imagine, the orange one was for Simon and the pistachio-green for Bruno.

El patrón fue muy fácil de seguir. Era la primera vez que hacía un patrón de Pica Pau y me encantó. Me parece muy buena idea que la cabeza y el cuerpo sean una misma pieza y no dos como es habitual.

The pattern was very easy to follow. It was my first time with a Pica Pau pattern and I loved it. I think it's a very good idea to crochet the head and body as one piece and not as two separate parts as usual.

Por cierto, mis sobrinos ya me han hecho sus peticiones para los próximos muñecos... entre los muchos animales que me han pedido, los primeros elegidos son la serpiente y el águila.

By the way, my nephews have already told me which animals they want me to do to them... among the long list they've made, they first want a snake and an eagle.

Cuando le estaba haciendo fotos a las cigüeñas, apareció Simón y me "ayudó" con la sesión... vamos, que se fue acercando poco a poco y se animó "haciendo volar" a las cigüeñas :))))))

When I was taking some photos to them, Simon appeared and he "helped" me with the photo shoot... in other words, he came slowly closer and then he "helped the storks to fly" :)))))

Y en esta última foto en casa de mi hermana aparece el calendario de adviento de Authen-tic que le regalé hace unos cuantos años y que tiene colgado todo el año porque le encanta.

And in this last photo at my sister's house you can see the advent calendar designed by Authen-tic I gave to her some years ago and that it's hanging all the year round because she loves it.

Frambuesa de Tournicote / Tournicote's Raspberry

Hacía ya tiempo que quería el libro Ganchillo con ternura de Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote) y, hace unas semanas, visitando una librería, lo vi y sin dudarlo me lo compré.

It was some time that I wanted the book Sweet Crochet by Sandrine Deveze (Tournicote). Some weeks ago, I was visiting a bookstore and, when I saw it, I bought it without hesitation.

Todos los proyectos son preciosos y cuesta decidirse por cuál empezar.

All the projects in it are wonderful and it's hard to decide which one to do first.

Pero cuando vi a Frambuesa, lo tuve claro: era perfecta para regalársela a la hija de un compañero que justo hoy cumple 8 años.

However, when I saw Rasberry, it was clear to me: it was perfect to give it as a present to one of my workmate's daughter, who is 8 today.

El año pasado ya le regalé una conejita de peluche y una corona, que podéis ver en este post. Por cierto, mi compañero me dijo el otro día que duerme con ella cada noche, ¡qué ilusión!

Last year I  gave her a bunny softie and a crown, which you can see in this post. By the way, my colleague told me the other day that she sleeps with it all nights, it's great!

En el patrón original, Frambuesa lleva tan sólo un pañuelo anudado al cuello. Queda muy mona sin vestir -podéis verlo en las fotos- pero yo he preferido hacerle un vestido. 

In the original pattern, Rasberry takes only a scarf knotted around her neck. She's really cute without getting dressed, as you can see on the photos, but I preferred to make her a dress.

Conchita estaba un poco celosa de tanta foto a Frambuesa y decidió unirse a la sesión jejeje 

Conchita was a bit jealous of all the photos I was taking to Rasberry, so she decided to join her hehehe

CAL Conchita

Ya os conté aquí que me había apuntado al CAL (Crochet Along) que organizaron De Estraperlo y Wasel Wasel para tejer a Conchita . 

As I told you in this post, I've taken part in the CAL organized by De Estraperlo and Wasel Wasel to crochet Conchita.

¡Me ha encantado hacerla! El patrón está muy bien explicado y he utilizado un par de puntos que no había usado en los amigurumies que he hecho hasta ahora. 

I've loved to do it! The pattern is very well explained and I've used a pair of stitches that I've never used before with amigurumies. 

¿No os parece una monada? Esta me la he hecho para mí (por fin me hago algo que me quedo yo! jajaja), pero mis hermanas ya me han pedido una cada una.

Don't you think she's cute? This one is for me (at last I do something for me! hehehe), but my sisters want one each.

Los colores que he usado son diferentes a los que ha usado María (De Estraperlo) en el patrón, pero tenía en casa este color pistacho tan bonito que quise utilizarlo. 

The colours I've used are different from the ones used by Maria (De Estraperlo) in her pattern, but I had this beautiful Pistachio colour at home that I wanted to use it.

En mi caso, todos los hilos que he utilizado son Katia Alabama. 

All the yarns I've used are Katia Alabama. 

He disfrutado mucho de la experiencia de participar en este CAL y compartir con otra gente los progresos y el resultado final. Es ideal para animarte a hacerlo!

I've really enjoyed this new experience of taking part in a CAL and sharing the progress and the final result with other people. It's perfect to encourage you to do it!
