I'm preparing now a photo album of our trip to Scotland, but we've made so many photos that it's taking me some work to choose them. At the moment, here you have some of Edinburgh. Another day I'll show some beautiful landscapes of the country.
Castillo / Castle
En Edimburgo empezamos y acabamos el viaje. El fin de semana que llegamos, tuvimos la suerte de que coincidimos con el Festival Fringe y otros festivales que se celebran en agosto allí. Las calles estaban abarrotadas y habían actuaciones por todas partes.
We began and finished our route through Scotland in Edinburgh. We were very lucky as the weekend we arrived we coincided with the Fringe Festival and other festivals that take place in August there. Streets were packed and there were performances everywhere.
El último día de nuestro viaje lo pasamos otra vez en Edimburgo. Aquí ya habían acabado todos los festivales y lo notamos porque había mucha menos gente por la calle. La diferencia de una semana a otra era abismal!
We spent the last day of our journey again in Edinburgh. Festivals had already finished and we noticed that there were much less people in the streets. It was so different from one week before!

Palacio de Holyroodhouse / Holyroodhouse Palace
Al lado, está el Parlamento escocés, edificio espectacular y polémico.

El pico de Arthur's Seat, desde donde se ven unas fantásticas vistas panorámicas de la ciudad.

Edimburgo cuenta con otro monte, Calton Hill, con varios monumentos del s. XIX. Desde aquí también hay muy buenas vistas de la ciudad.
Edinburgh has another hill, Calton Hill, with some monuments from the 19th century. There are also very nice views from the city:
En Princes Street, la calle más comercial de la ciudad, encontramos el Monumento a Scott, una aguja gótica en memoria del escritor sir Walter Scott.
In Princes Street, the main shopping street in the city, we can find the Scott Monument, a Gothic tower in memory of the writer sir Walter Scott:
Desde Princes Street se tienen vistas del Castillo y el Old Town.
