Tutorial Adorno Navidad 2012/ DIY: Christmas Ornament 2012

Por fin este año os puedo enseñar sin (mucho) retraso el adorno que les he hecho a mi familia y amigos :) 

At last I can show you without (much) delay the ornament I've made this year for my family and friends :)

La idea del bordado la adapté de un libro japonés de cuyo nombre me es imposible acordarme...
I adapted this embroidery from one I saw in a Japanese book (sorry, I cannot remember the name...)

Pues sí, habéis leído bien! Este es el adorno que hice el año pasado para regalar a mi familia y amigos jejeje. Me olvidé de haceros el tutorial, así que aquí lo tenéis. Ahora estoy haciendo los adornos de este año, así que esta próxima semana os lo pongo :)

Yes, you have read well! This is the ornament I made last year for my family and friends hehehe. I forgot to make the tutorial, so here you have it. Now I'm making the ornaments for this year, so next week I will also publish it :)

Calendario - My Owl Barn Calendar 2013

Ya llevo unos cuantos años que en Navidades entrego un pequeño obsequio a mi familia: un calendario para colgar en la nevera (o donde quieran) con algún imán. 

It has been some years now that on Christmas I give a present to my family: a calendar to hang on the fridge (or wherever they want) with some magnets.

Como el año pasado, voy a utilizar el calendario gratuito que nos ofrece  My Owl Barn. Ahora mismo estoy eligiendo las ilustraciones para cada mes de entre 40 trabajos, pero son tan bonitas que no sé cuáles elegir!

Like I did last year, I will use the free calendar from My Owl Barn. I'm making now my own calendar from 40 artworks, but they're so nice that I don't know which ones to choose!

Festivalet (Crafts Fair) 2012

Si estáis en Barcelona o alrededores, este fin de semana (15 y 16 de diciembre) se celebra en el FAD el Festivalet, una feria independiente de productos hechos a mano que organiza Duduá.

If you are in Barcelona or surroundings, this weekend (15th & 16th December) the Festivalet will be held in FAD. It's an independent crafts fair organized by Duduá.

Esta será su quinta edición y no me he perdido ninguna. Allí me he comprado algún colgante, esta ilustración que os enseño cada vez que tengo ocasión (jejeje), etc. 

This will be the 5th edition and I haven't missed any of them. I've bought some necklaces, this illustration I show you when I have an opportunity (hehehe), etc.

Colcha de la amistad (2)/ Friendship Quilt (2)

Como os decía ayer, durante nuestro encuentro en Creativa me dieron más bloques de la Colcha de la Amistad que estamos haciendo. Aquí los podéis ver bien:

Me encantan todos ellos, cada uno con su estilo (aplicación, bordado, punto de cruz), colores... Nos quedará una colcha chulísima!!!

I love all of them, each one with its own style (appliqué, embroidery, cross stitch), colours... This quilt will be so pretty!!!

Además, Sole y Mar nos dieron unos regalos junto con sus bloques. Este primero es un adorno para colgar de Sole. Es ideal para decorar un cajón, por ejemplo. En este enlace podéis ver su tutorial:

Besides, Sole and Mar gave us some presents with their blocks. This first one is an ornament to hang from Sole. It's ideal to decorate a drawer, for example. In this link you can see her tutorial:

Este es de Mar. Ella nos regaló un kit de Eva Gustems para montar una pulsera, y aquí ya lo tengo hecho, ¿a qué es mona?

This one is from Mar. She gave us a kit from Eva Gustems to make a bracelet, and here I've already done it. Isn't it cute?

Creativa Barcelona 2012

La semana pasada fui a la feria Creativa, en Barcelona, con un grupo de amigas. Alucinamos con la cantidad de gente que había! Pero fuimos afortunadas y pudimos entrar, ya que a media mañana cerraron taquillas... Quizás los organizadores tendrían que plantearse cambiar la ubicación para el año que viene...

Last week I went to Creativa (arts & crafts fair), in Barcelona, with a group of friends. We were amazed at how many people was there! But we were lucky because we could go in: at midday the ticket offices were closed... Maybe organizers should think about changing the location next year....

Aparte de eso, fue un día fantástico! Os enseño mis compras... aquí arriba una de las casitas de Eva Gustems, que combina telas y bordado y va colgada en un bastidor. Abajo, el libro Bobbin Country Stitches.

Apart from that, it was a fantastic day! Here you can see what I bought... in the photo above, one of the houses of Eva Gustems, which combines fabrics with embroidery and it's hung in a frame. Below, the book Bobbin Country Stitches.

Ya he acabado los bloques 7 y 8 del Country Vache:

Este bloque de la vaca no me acaba de convencer, no sé, quizás es de un color demasiado claro... pero no lo voy a cambiar...

There's something about this block of the cow I'm not sure about, I don't know, maybe it's too pale... but I'm not going to change it...

Pero la florecilla sí que me gusta :)

But I like this flower :)

Mañana y pasado tengo fiesta! Así que intentaré avanzar en mis proyectos, aunque ya veremos, que me conozco...

Tomorrow and on Friday is a bank holiday! So I will try to make progress with my projects, but we'll see (I know myself hehe)...

Colcha de la amistad / Friendship Quilt

Con un grupo de buenas amigas hemos decidido hacer un intercambio de bloques para tener cada una su Colcha de la Amistad. En total somos 20, así que cada una tiene que hacer 20 bloques iguales (15x15). La estructura del bloque es la misma para todas, sólo que cada una elige las telas y el motivo central (aplicación, bordado...) a su gusto.

With a group of very good friends we have decided to swap some blocks so that every one of us has our own Friendship Quilt. We are 20 altogether, so we have to sew 20 identical blocks (15x15). The structure of the block is the same, but each one chooses the fabrics and the central motif (application, embroidery…).

Aunque tenemos tiempo hasta verano del año que viene, ya he recibido 3 bloques! ¡Qué chicas más rápidas! :) Este primero es de Leo (Viladecans, Barcelona):

Festival Internacional Libros Ilustrados "Como Pedro por mi casa"

Para quién viva en Barcelona y alrededores, del 5 al 10 de noviembre se celebra en la librería La Central del Raval el Festival Internacional de Libros Ilustrados.

For those who live in Barcelona and surroundings, from the 5th to 10th November the International Picture Book Festival will be held in the bookshop La Central del Raval.

Está organizado por  Julia Pelletier y Silvia Miralles, y es un festival dedicado íntegramente a los libros ilustrados para adultos. Podéis ver más información en el blog del Festival aquí.
