Sonajero Nanuk / Nanuk's Rattle

En el Festival Internacional de Patchwork de Sitges de este año me compré un kit de un sonajero de Nanuk. Cuando lo vi, pensé que era perfecto para regalárselo a mi futuro sobrino. Ah, y por cierto, ya sabemos que será un niño , otro niño :))) 

In the Sitges International Patchwork Festival I bought a rattle kit from Nanuk. When I saw it, I thought it was perfect for my future nephew. Ah, and we already know it will be a boy, another boy :)))

Por si no conocéis a Nanuk, hacen ilustraciones en tela termoadhesivas que se aplican sobre tela, etc. Son monísimas y muy simpáticas. En su web dan algunas ideas para aplicarlas.

In case you don't know Nanuk, they make thermo-adhesive illustrations that can be applied on fabric, etc. They are so cute and nice. In their website they give some ideas to use them.

Este sonajero en particular ha sido diseñado por Aikamaku. Es ideal para los bebés y muy fácil y rápido de hacer. 

This rattle has been designed by Aikamaku. It's ideal for babies and it's very easy and quick to do.

En cada cara del cubo hay aplicada una ilustración. Aunque al plancharlas ya quedan bien fijadas, he preferido coser con punto de festón alrededor para asegurarlas aún más y, al mismo tiempo, darles un toque divertido.

Each side of the cube has an illustration applied on. And, even though they are well-fixed when they're ironed, I've preferred to sew a blanket stitch around each one to reinforce them, and to give them a funny touch.

El kit incluye cintas cintas de diferentes colores y texturas que van cosidas a cada borde del cubo. Así el bebé podrá jugar con ellas... o chupetearlas sin parar jejeje

The kit has ribbons of different colours and textures which are sewn to each edge of the cube, so the baby can play with them... or suck them all the time hehehe

Además, las  telas son muy alegres y de colores muy vivos.

Besides, fabrics are happy and bright.

Y dentro va un cascabel que seguro llamará la atención de mi sobrino.

I've put a rattle inside, which will surely attract my nephew's attention.

Por cierto, hoy es Sant Jordi! Es una día que me encanta: la calle se llena de rosas, libros, gente. Es un día para disfrutarlo en la calle, pasear, buscar a tu escritor favorito para que te firme su libro, etc.

Hace unas semanas tuve la suerte de ganar un sorteo que Verónica Maraver organizó desde su cuenta de Instagram: una miniyo ilustrada por ella. 

Some weeks ago I was very lucky because I won a giveaway that Verónica Maraver organized on her Instagram account: a mini-me illustrated by her.

No veáis qué alegría me dio, hacía ya tiempo que la seguía y me encantaban sus chicas estilizadas de cuello largo y ojos cerrados y con sueños en la cabeza, así que tenía mucha curiosidad por ver cómo me dibujaría. 

I was so happy! I had been following her for some time and I loved her slim girls with long necks and closed eyes, and with dreams in her heads,  so I was curious to see how she would draw me.

¡Estoy contentísima con el resultado!! De verdad que se parece a mí! Simplemente con los detalles de la boca, la nariz, las gafas y el pelo ondulado lo ha conseguido! Y además lo ha personalizado todavía más con el nombre de mi blog y los ovillos en la cabeza :)))

I really love it!!! It really looks like me! Simply with the mouth, nose, glasses and wavy hair she has got it! And she's personalized it even more because she's added the name of my blog and the yarns on the head :)))

Y esta soy yo, así podéis comparar jejeje Por cierto, el cuello que llevo me lo regaló mi compañera de trabajo, ¿a qué es chulo?

And this is me, so you can compare hehehe. By the way, this cowl was a present from a colleague at work, isn't it nice?

Como además vivimos bastante cerca la una de la otra, la semana pasada quedamos una tarde para que me lo diera. Fue una tarde estupenda y estuvimos charlando sobre el mundo de la artesanía e ilustración, mercadillos, etc. Vamos, que el tiempo se me pasó volando. 

As we live quite close to each other, last week we met and she gave it to me. It was a wonderful evening and we talked about this world of crafts, illustration, crafts markets, etc. Time just flew by.

Ya lo tengo enmarcado y, de momento, lo tengo en un sitio de honor al lado de una ilustración de Depeapa que me compré hace unos años. 

I've already framed it and, at the moment, it's in a place of honor next to a Depeapa's illustration that I bought some years ago.

Hoy escribo un artículo que va a estar lleno de agradecimientos públicos.

Today I'm writing a blog post full of public thanks.

Y el primero de ellos es para Mary Carmen del blog Coso Que Te Coso. En diciembre, me dedicó un post en su blog pero entre que estuve enferma, las Navidades y las post-Navidades, se me había pasado decíroslo. La verdad es que me emocionó mucho, fue toda una sorpresa y dijo cosas muy bonitas sobre mí :)) 

Si todavía no la conocéis, no dudéis en hacerle una visita, además de conocer a una persona muy positiva y llena de energía, podréis ver unos trabajos preciosos y unos tutoriales muy interesantes.

And the first one goes to Mary Carmen (Coso Que Te Coso). Last December, she dedicated one post to me but, because of the flu, Christmas and post-Christmas, I didn't tell you. I was really moved by her post, it was a great surpise and she wrote very nice things about me :))

Además, estos últimos meses he tenido mucha suerte ya que he ganado varios sorteos. Aparte del que gané de La Ardillita de Patch y que os enseñé en este post, he ganado tres más!! Sí, sí, ¡¡tres!! Así que este año, en mi trabajo y en mi casa, fui la encargada de comprar los números para la lotería de Navidad... jajaja yo ya les avisé que no se hicieran muchas ilusiones, y, efectivamente, no nos tocó ni el reintegro! 

Moreover, these last months I've been very lucky as I've won some giveaways. Apart from the one I won from La Ardillita de Patch that I showed you here, I've won three more!! Yes, three!! So, last Christmas, I was asked to buy the Christmas Lottery numbers for my work and home hahaha I told them not to be very hopeful, and, I was right, we didn't even win the refund!

El primero de ellos fue esta magnífica lámpara-lupa que sorteó la revista Patchwork en Casa. Os podéis imaginar que, todavía cuando la miro, se me escapa una sonrisa. Vamos, y no la acaricio diciendo "mi tesoro" porque quedaría un poco raro jejeje

The first one was organized by Patchwork en Casa magazine, and I won this superb lamp with magnifying glass. You can imagine that, when I look at it, a big smile appears on my face. And I don't caress it saying "My Treasure" because I'd look a bit crazy hehehe.

El segundo fue el nº 5 de la revista El Costurero que sorteó Cristina, del blog Oh!Villo. Me encanta! En cada nuevo número se superan. Tiene unos contenidos muy interesantes y una edición muy cuidada. 

The second one was organized by Cristina (Oh!Villo) and I won nº 5 of El Costurero magazine. I love it! Each number is better than the previous one. Contents are very interesting and it has a careful edition.

Y el tercero es una lámina de un Furby monísimo de la artista @ardmad y un librito con una recopilación de sus ilustraciones. Este premio lo he conseguido a través de Instagram y lo recibí esta semana. Todo un detallazo que me ha alegrado la semana :)) 

And the third one is from artist @ardmad: a cute Furby illustration and a book with a compillation of her work. I've won it in Instagram and I received it this week. It was a wonderful gesture that has brighten up my week :))

Y por último, Ana de La Ardillita de Patch me ha entregado estos tres premios. Ana, muchísimas gracias por pensar en mí! Me ha hecho mucha ilusión!! :))

Festival Internacional de Libros Ilustrados "Como Pedro por mi casa"

Para quienes vivan en Barcelona y alrededores, ayer empezó el Festival Internacional de Libros Ilustrados, que se celebrará en la librería La Central del Raval hasta el próximo sábado 9 de noviembre.

For those who live in Barcelona and surroundings, yesterday it began the International Picture Book Festival, which will be held in the bookshop La Central del Raval until next Saturday 9th November.

Es un festival muy interesante dedicado íntegramente a los libros ilustrados para adultos en diferentes formatos. Además, durante estos días se realizan talleres y conferencias que complementan la exposición. Os gustará!

It's a very interesting festival that is dedicated exclusively to illustrated books published in different formats for adults. There are also some workshops and conferences that complement the exhibition. You will enjoy it!

Festival Internacional Libros Ilustrados "Como Pedro por mi casa"

Para quién viva en Barcelona y alrededores, del 5 al 10 de noviembre se celebra en la librería La Central del Raval el Festival Internacional de Libros Ilustrados.

For those who live in Barcelona and surroundings, from the 5th to 10th November the International Picture Book Festival will be held in the bookshop La Central del Raval.

Está organizado por  Julia Pelletier y Silvia Miralles, y es un festival dedicado íntegramente a los libros ilustrados para adultos. Podéis ver más información en el blog del Festival aquí.

Corazones de lavanda/ Lavender Hearts

Irene, una compañera del Sal Country Vache, está recogiendo trabajillos artesanales en su blog "Las artistas de la familia" para un mercadillo solidario que se organiza cerca de Albacete a favor de la asociación Asprona (Asociación para la Atención a Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual y sus Familias de la Provincia de Albacete). No es que sea mucho, pero he hecho estos 6 corazones rellenos con lavanda para los armarios.

It's not too much, but I've made these 6 lavanda hearts for the wardrobes.

Por cierto, la ilustración de la primera foto es de Depeapa. Me la compré hace unos meses en el Festivalet, una feria de productos artesanales en Barcelona.

Oh, by the way, the print you can see in the first photo is from Depeapa. I bought it some months ago at Festivalet, a crafts fair in Barcelona.
