Knitting Project Bag

Hacía tiempo que quería coser la Knitting Project Bag que Alícia del blog Ganxetades nos ofreció en su blog hace ya un tiempo (podéis encontrar el patrón y tutorial en este enlace).

I'd been wanting to sew the Knitting Project Bag by Alicia (Ganxetades blog) for some time. You can find the pattern and tutorial in this link (in Spanish).

A mi amiga Carme (@carmeta_rs) le encanta el punto y el ganchillo así que decidí sorprenderla por su cumpleaños con este proyecto.

My friend Carme (@carmeta_rs) loves knitting and crochetting, so I decided to surprise her with this project for her birthday. 

Las telas tan bonitas que utilicé son de Art Gallery Fabrics y las gané hace unos meses en un concurso que hicieron en su web. Me encantan los estampados y colores tan modernos que tienen todas sus colecciones!

To sew it, I used the beautiful fabrics from Art Gallery Fabrics that I won on a giveaway some months ago. I love the modern patterns and colours from all their collections! 

¿Qué os parece? A Carme le gustó muchísimo y lo usa desde el primer día :)))

Cesta para lanas con telas AGF / Basket for Yarns with AGF Fabrics

Casi sin darme cuenta he acumulado bastantes ovillos para tejer amigurumies que tenía guardados en un par de bolsas de plástico horrorosas. Por eso me he decidido a hacerme una cesta de patchwork para guardarlos todos.

Without realizing, I have accumulated a quite big stash of yarns to crochet amigurumies, which were stored in two horrible plastic bags. This is why I decided to make a fabric basket to store all of them.

Todas las telas que he utilizado son de la colección Lavish diseñada por Katarina Roccella para AGF Fabrics, y las he combinado con lino. Ah, y la cesta es reversible :))

All the fabrics I've used are from the fabric collection Lavish, designed by Katarina Roccella for AGF Fabrics, and I've combined them with linen. And it's a reversible basket :))

No sé si os pasa a vosotr@s, pero como siempre he tardado más pensando en el diseño y en cómo combinar las telas que en hacerla. Para buscar inspiración, revisé todas las cestas que tengo guardadas en mi tablero del Pinterest de cestas. Os pongo el enlace por si queréis echarle un vistazo. 

I don't know if it's the same for you, but it always takes me longer to think about the design and how to combine fabrics than to sew it. To look for inspiration, I checked all the baskets I saved on my Pinterest pinboard about fabric baskets (click on the link if you wish to have a look).

La cesta es bastante grande (mide 30x30x30cm). La he hecho amplia para que me quepan muchos ovillos. 

The basket is quite big (it measures 30x30x30cm). It's this big because I want to store many yarns inside.

Buscando por Internet encontré un tutorial que se adaptaba muy bien al tamaño de la cesta que quería hacer. El tutorial es de Bettyjoy Tutorials. Está en inglés pero se sigue muy bien con las imágenes.

Looking through the Internet I found the perfect tutorial for what I needed. It's from Bettyjoy Tutorials.

Estoy muy contenta con el resultado, y ahora tengo todos mis ovillos ordenados en el mismo sitio :))

I'm really happy with it, and now I have all my yarns at the same place :))

Cojín Caleidoscopio con telas AGF / Kaleidescope Cushion with AGF Fabrics

Hace unas semanas tuve la gran suerte de ganar el sorteo que organizó Art Gallery Fabrics de su nueva colección de telas Essentials II, diseñada por Pat Bravo.

Some weeks ago I was really lucky to win a bundle of fat quarters of the new fabric collection designed by Pat Bravo for Art Gallery Fabrics: Essentials II collection.

Ya os podéis imaginar mi cara cuando recibí el paquete... ¡son tan bonitas!! Los estampados y los colores son preciosos y combinan perfectamente entre ellos. Sí, todavía sonrío cuando las miro jejeje

You can imagine my face when I received the package... they're so beautiful!! Patterns and colours are so pretty and they perfectly combine. And yes, I still smile when I look at them hehehe

Así que empecé a pensar qué podía hacer con ellas, hasta que hace un día vi el cojín que había hecho Amy Sinibaldi a partir del diseño "Kaleidescope Miniquilt" de Jemima Flendt (Tied With A Ribbon).

So I began thinking about what I could do with them, until I saw the cushion that Amy Sinibaldi made from the "Kaleidescope Miniquilt" pattern, by Jemima Flendt (Tied With A Ribbon).

 

Lo tuve clarísimo: quería un cojín con ese diseño con las telas de Art Gallery Fabrics que había ganado.

And I knew for sure that I wanted that cushion with the fabrics I'd won.

Y estoy contentísima con el resultado. No sé qué pensaréis vosotras, pero me encanta el aire fresco y la alegría que le da al sofá. 

And I'm so happy with it! I don't know what you think, but I love the fresh and bright touch it gives to the sofa.

Lo mejor es que todavía me queda bastante de cada tela, así que ahora no sé si hacer otro cojín o un camino de mesa a conjunto, que el que tengo ya está un poco viejo.

The best thing is that I still have quite a lot of fabrics from the bundle, so I don't know what to do now: another cushion or a table runner, as the one I've got is quite old.
