Me parece que este será un post un poco largo... he recopilado unas cuantas fotos de París, y, aunque he intentado reducirlas al máximo para no cansaros, es una ciudad tan grande y con tantos sitios que visitar que cuesta no enseñarlas... así que espero no aburriros.
I think this will be a quite long post... I've compiled some photos of Paris and, although I've tried to reduce the number of photos, it's such a big city with so many places to visit that it's been quite difficult... so, I hope you won't get bored.
El hotel donde nos alojamos se encontraba muy cerca de la Torre Eiffel, así que cada día le hicimos una visita de rigor. La verdad es que el monumento impresiona, desde abajo y desde arriba.
Our hotel was closed to the Eiffel Tower, so we went round to visit it every day. It's really an amazing monument.
We didn't go up until our last day in Paris, when we stayed all the morning there (we spent about 2h30 in the queu! and the rest of the morning to visit it). We wanted to buy the tickets online, but as we had decided to come to Paris two days before, they were all sold out.
La foto de arriba está tomada desde el 2º piso mirando a la punta, y los jardines que se ven abajo son los que están al pie de la Torre Eiffel.
I took the photo above on the 2nd floor looking at top, and the gardens below are the ones at the foot of the Tower.
La Estatua de la Libertad: no teníamos planeado visitarla, pero nos la encontramos una de las noches que fuimos a ver la Torre Eiffel.
Statue of Liberty: we hadn't planned to visit it, but we meet it one of the nights we went to visit the Eiffel Tower at night.
Para visitar la Catedral de Notre-Dame le dedicamos la mañana de nuestro segundo día en París. Fuimos a primera hora con la esperanza de no hacer mucha cola para subir... jejeje qué ilusos! Entrar dentro fue bastante rápido, pero para subir a visitar las Torres, tuvimos que hacer una cola de ¡3 horas!!!! Valió la pena, las vistas son preciosas, y las gárgolas impresionantes!
We spent our second morning in the city to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral. We went early in the morning in the hope that we didn't have to wait for hours in the queu... hehehe how naive! We visited the inside quite quickly, but we had to wait for 3 hours!!! to visit the Towers. But it was worth the visit: the view is wonderful, and gargoyles are amazing!

Nos llamó la atención que varios de los puentes parisinos están llenos a rebosar de candados, haciendo honor al título que tiene París como ciudad del amor.
It attracted our attention that some Parisian bridges were full of padlocks, living up to its reputation as the City of Love.
Como sólo fuimos cuatro días, nos dedicamos a visitar la ciudad y no a visitar museos. Pero hicimos una pequeña excepción y visitamos los jardines del Museo Rodin, donde se exponen varias esculturas del artista, entre ellas "El Pensador"...
As we stayed just four days in Paris, we decided to visit the city and not its museums. But we made a little exception and we visited the Gardens of the Rodin Museum, where some of the artist's bronze sculptures are exhibited; among them, "The Thinker"...
... y "Las puertas del infierno", que compone una escena del Infierno de Dante.
... and "The Gates of Hell", which composes a scene of Dante's Inferno.
Como caminamos tanto estos días, teníamos que ir reponiendo fuerzas por el camino ;-) Aquí nos tomamos un "café au lait" en una plaza del Barrio Latino.
As we walked so much, we had to take a rest to get our strength back ;-) In this case, we took a "café au lait" in a Latin Quarter coffee bar.
El Museo del Louvre nos queda pendiente de visitarlo en otro viaje que hagamos a París. Aún así, como cuando nos acercamos no había mucha cola, entramos y vimos la pirámide invertida.
We will visit the Louvre Museum in another trip to Paris. However, as when we went there, the queu was short, we went in and saw the inverted pyramid.
De noche / At night:
Delante del Museo del Louvre se encuentran los Jardines de las Tullerías. Ese día hizo muy bueno y la gente aprovechaba para tomar el sol y descansar.
In front of the Louvre there are the Tuileries Garden. It was a very sunny day and people were sunbathing and resting.
Un barrio que nos gustó mucho fue Montmartre y sus calles empedradas (y empinadas).
A neighbourhood we loved was Montmartre with its paved -and steep- streets.
En pleno corazón de Montmartre hay un pequeño y bucólico viñedo.
In the heart of Montmartre there is a small and bucolic vineyard.
La Basílica del Sacré-Coueur: coincidimos con una misa y estaba repleta de gente, así que entramos un momento para ver el interior y salimos.
The Sacred Heart Basilica (Basilique du Sacré Coeur): a mass was being celebrated when we arrived, and it was full of people, so we just went in for a moment to visit it inside and we left.
Al lado se encuentra la Place du Tertre, una plaza llena de artistas y muy concurrida por turistas. Costaba caminar por ella!
Next to it there is the Place du Tertre, a square packed with artists and tourists. It was difficult to walk through it!
El Moulin Rouge / Moulin Rouge:
Si habéis llegado hasta aquí, ¡muchas gracias! Esto es sólo una pequeña recopilación de fotos. En resumen, la ciudad nos ha encantado. Es una ciudad enorme y hemos acabado agotados de tanto caminar, pero merece mucho la pena. Desde luego, este ha sido la primera de más visitas, ya que nos han quedado pendientes muchas cosas.
Thanks a lot if you have arrived at this point. This is just a short compilation of photos. In short, we have loved the city. It's a huge city and we were exhausted of walking, but it's well worth a visit. And this has been just the first visit, as we still have to visit many places.
