Mis UFOs / My UFOs

Estos cuatro días que he tenido fiesta por Semana Santa me he quedado en Barcelona, así que he aprovechado para poner un poco de orden en los proyectos de patchwork que tengo empezados y parados. 

These Easter holidays I have stayed in Barcelona, so I decided to organize my UFO patchwork projects. 

1. SAL 12 Meses en Rojo organizado por Griselda (del blog Mis recuerdos)

Este quilt lo empecé en noviembre de 2011 y el último bloque lo hice en octubre de 2014. Pensaba que sólo me faltaban unir los bloques, pero me he dado cuenta que me faltan los triángulos de log cabin, así que me lo he dejado preparado para continuarlo ya que me gustaría acabarlo este año.

I began this quilt in November 2011, and I sewed the last block in October 2014. I thought I just needed to sew all the blocks together, but I've realized that I need to do the log cabin triangles, so now I have everything ready to continue as I'd like to finish it during this year.

Este quilt lo empecé en enero de 2010 y el último bloque que os enseñé es de febrero de 2010. Me faltan por hacer 10 bloques aplicados y 1 bloque del Irish Chain. De momento, lo he vuelto a guardar, aunque estaría bien acabarlo para Navidades...

I began this quilt in January 2010 and I showed you the last block in February 2010. I still need to do 10 blocks with the snowmen and 1 Irish Chain block. At the moment, I've put it away in a safe place, but it would be great if I could finish it for Christmas time...

Este quilt os lo presentaba por primera vez en abril de 2011. Ahora que lo he releído me he reído bastante porque me puse hasta objetivos con fechas, todo muy bien organizado! jajaja 

El primer bloque es de mayo 2011 y el segundo (y de momento último) de junio 2011. Lo he vuelto a guardar.

I talked about this quilt for the first time in April 2011. Now that I've this post read again I've laughed a lot because I even wrote end dates for each objective, it was all very well-organized! hahaha

The first block is from May 2011 and the second one (and the last one for the moment) is from June 2011. I've put it in a box again.

4. Colcha de la amistad

Os enseñé los primeros bloques de esta colcha que estamos haciendo con unas amigas en noviembre 2012. El bloque que hice yo os lo enseñé en junio 2013 y los últimos bloques son de enero 2014. 

Lo tengo parado porque tengo que pensar en cómo montarlo. A ver si me pongo un día y así puedo empezar a unirlos. De momento, lo he vuelto a guardar.

In November 2012 I showed you the first blocks for this quilt that we are doing with some friends. In June 2013 I published a post with the block I made for this project, and the last blocks are from January 2014. 

I haven't continued because I have to think about how to finish the quilt top. So, I just need to stop one day and think about it. At the moment, I've put them in a box again.

Os hablé por primera vez de este proyecto en marzo 2014 y el último bordado lo publiqué en junio 2014. Este proyecto lo llevé muy al día, pero quiero cambiar el montaje final del quilt, así que ahora estoy pensando en cómo montarlos. Lo que sí he hecho ha sido comprar más telas de otros colores más variados para añadir más hexágonos. 

I first talked to you about this project in March 2014 and I published the last embroidery in June 2014. I kept this project up to date, but I want to change the design of the quilt, so now I'm thinking about how to do the quilt top. I have already bought some more fabrics in different colours to make more hexagons.

Creo que este proyecto no os lo he llegado a enseñar nunca. Lo empecé en verano de 2009 ó 2010, no me acuerdo, y así se quedó. Y creo que se quedará así por bastante tiempo, ya veremos. Eso sí, los colores son más bonitos en vivo y en directo que los de la foto.

I think I've never shown you this project. I began it in Summer 2009 or 2010, I don't really remember. But I think it will be like this for a long time. Anyway, real colours are much more beautiful than the ones in the photo.

Ha sido una buena idea hacer esta lista para darme cuenta de todos los proyectos que tengo parados y para ver en qué estado los tengo, lo que me falta por hacer de cada uno y para decidir si voy a seguir a corto plazo o no. A ver si sirve de algo...

It has been a very good idea to make this list to realize about all the unfinished projects I have, what I need to do finish each one of them and to decide which ones I want to continue in a short or long term. Let's see if it's useful in some way...

BOM A Little Town- 2º Bloque/ 2nd Block

Espero que hayáis tenido un buen fin de semana! Hoy lunes es fiesta en Barcelona, así que he aprovechado para acabar el 2º bloque del BOM de Sulky "A Little Town".

I hope you all had a nice weekend! Today is a holiday in Barcelona, so I've made the most of this long weekend and I've finished the 2nd block of the BOM "A Little Town" from Sulky.

He tenido que repetir la parte de la hierba un par de veces, y no es que me encante cómo ha quedado, pero lo voy a dejar así... ya que cuando una los bloques quedará arreglado.
I've had to redo all the grass twice, and I don't really like the result, but I'm going to leave it like that... because when I sew the blocks together it will be ok.

Me gusta mucho el diseño de este bloque y la combinación que hace de las aplicaciones con los bordados.
I love the design of this block and the mixture of the appliqué and embroideries.

Ahora voy a dedicarme, por eso, a acabar el 2º cojín para mi hermana, si no acabaré dándoselo para las próximas Navidades....
Now I'm going to work on the 2nd pillow for my sister, or I will give it to her on next Christmas...

BOM A Little Town-En proceso/ In Process

Un post rápido para deciros que he empezado el 2º bloque de este quilt (¡sí!). Os dejo unas fotos del proceso:

Así que me he podido dedicar y acabar al 1er bloque del BOM de Sulky "A Little Town".
So, I've finished the 1st block of the BOM "Little Town" from Sulky.

Ya voy un poco tarde con los objetivos que me marqué, pero he tenido una buena excusa ¿no? jejeje. Bueno, voy a ver si en los próximos días me recupero y acabo el 2º objetivo para finales de este mes. :)

Now I'm a bit late with the objectives I set to myself, but I've had a good excuse, isn't it? hehehe. Well, let's see if I can finish the 2nd one by the end of this month :)

Nuevo proyecto / New Project

Hola chic@s!! Qué tal la Semana Santa? Este año nos hemos quedado en Barcelona, pero bueno, así hemos podido disfrutar de Sant Jordi. ¡Me encanta este día! Toda la ciudad llena de rosas y libros :) ... Y de todo lo que quería hacer, nada de nada...

Hi everybody!! How was your Easter holidays? This year we have stayed in Barcelona, so we have enjoyed Sant Jordi's day in the city. I love this day! All the city is full of roses and books :) ... and I did nothing I had planned to do these days...

Así que he decidido ponerme fechas para ir acabando lo que tengo empezado. A ver si al escribirlo, lo hago :). Básicamente, esta semana tengo previsto acabar la cesta japonesa del SAL de Isi y en 2-3 semanas el 2º cojín para mi hermana.

So, I have decided to fix some dates to finish what I have already begun. Let's see if I do it now that I've written it :). Basically, this week I plan to finish Isi's SAL of the basket with Japanese appliqués and in 2-3 weeks the 2nd pillow for my sister.

Además, voy a empezar el BOM "Little Town 2010" de SULKY. Me gusta mucho el estilo country de este quilt, que le quiero regalar a mi otra hermana (que vive en un pueblo muy pequeñito en el centro de España). Y como me conozco, ya me he hecho un calendario con los objetivos para tenerlo acabado en estas próximas Navidades.

I will also begin the BOM "Little Town 2010" from SULKY. I like the country style of this quilt, which will be a present to my other sister (who lives in a very little village in the centre of Spain). As I know myself very well, I have prepared a schedule with all the objectives in order to finish it before Christmas.
