Este fin de semana se ha celebrado la segunda edición del Handmade Festival Barcelona y, como tuve la suerte de ganar un par de invitaciones en un sorteo, el sábado fui con mi hermana a visitarlo.
Last weekend the 2nd edition of the Handmade Festival Barcelona was held, and, as I was so lucky to win two invitations in a giveaway, I visited it with my sister on Saturday .
La impresión general de la feria fue muy buena. El salón se dividía en 4 áreas principales (hilo, papel, cocina y bricolaje-decoración-jardinería), pero también había un área dedicada a Japón, un Food Market con multitud de caravanas de comida, talleres, master classes, un par de escenarios para conciertos, etc.
The overall impression of the fair was very good. The show was divided in 4 main areas (sewing & knitting, paper, cooking and brico, deco & gardening). There was also an area dedicated to Japan, a Food Market with dozens of food trucks, workshops, master classes, two stages for concerts, etc.
El espacio "Aires de Japón" contaba con una zona de exposiciones y otra zona para realizar talleres. Nos gustaron mucho los kimonos y los trabajos de estampación en tela que estaban expuestos... eso sí, encontramos algo gris la zona donde estaba puesta y un poquito pobres algunas de las exposiciones.
"Airs of Japan" was divided in two areas: one with exhibitions & stands and the other with workshops. We loved the exhibitions about kimonos and fabric stamping... but we found that the area where "Airs of Japan" was placed was quite grey and that some of the exhibitons were quite poor.
En la feria también se daba mucho protagonismo al reciclaje. Encontramos muy curiosa esta exposición "Custom Furniture" de Bel & Bel donde los autores dan un nuevo uso a piezas antiguas. Chulísimas!
Recycling was prominent in the show. There was this curious exhibition "Custom Furniture" from Bel & Bel. The artists use old objects and transform them into functional ones. So nice!
Me hubiera gustado probar este sofá ;-)

En el espacio Living DIYsing de L'Estoc también encontramos muebles diseñados por ellos mismos y fabricados con materiales reciclados.
In the area "Living DIYsing", L'Estoc, we could also find some furniture made from recycled materials.
En la feria también había una exposición para los fans de "Ja t'ho faràs", programa de la televisión autonómica de Catalunya (TV3) donde su presentador, Rafel Vives, nos enseña a reciclar, decorar, recuperar y transformar diferentes espacios y elementos de la vida cotidiana. En casa estamos enganchados a este programa del "hazlo tú mismo".
There was also the perfect exhibition for the fans of "Ja t'ho faràs", a program in the Catalan public television (TV3). The presenter Rafael Vives shows us how to recycle, decorate, recover and transform different rooms and everyday objects. At home, we really love this DIY program.

Me encantó este tiovivo tan artesanal. A los niños se les veía disfrutar un montón montados en estos personajes tan fantásticos.
I loved this handcrafted merry-go-round. Children really had fun when they were sitting on these fantastic figures.
En el stand de Montana Colors estaba el artista Saturno haciendo una exhibición en directo. Qué gracia me hizo, porque hace tiempo que le sigo por Instagram.
The artist Saturno was creating an exhibition at Montana Colors' stand during the whole fair. It was great, as it's a long time that I'm following him on Instagram.
Dentro y fuera de la feria habían Food Trucks donde podías parar a comer y hacer un descanso. Mirad qué buena pinta tenían estos dulces!
Inside and outside of the fair there were Food Trucks to eat something and have a rest. Look at these sweets, they look delicious!
En el exterior del salón, aparte de los Food Trucks, habían diferentes puestos de productos acabados que te daban la bienvenida a la feria.
Apart from the Food Trucks, outside there were also some stands with finished products that welcomed you to the show.

Y aquí podéis ver mis compras, unas cuantas telas, unas ilustraciones en tela termoadhesivas de Nanuk y un mini-bastidor.
And here you can see what I bought in the fair: some fabrics, some Nanuk's thermo-adhesive illustrations and a mini embroidery frame.
