Sigo trabajando en la manta para mi sobrino. / I continue working on the blanket for my little nephew.

He terminado de unir las piezas del osito y he bordado con punto de cadeneta los ojos, el hocico y las pezuñas.

I have finished the appliqué work of the bear and I've embroidered with chain stitch his eyes, snout and hooves.

Esta semana empieza la remodelación del Mercat de Sant Antoni, así que este domingo nos fuimos a dar una vuelta por allí.

The remodeling of the historical Sant Antoni Market (Barcelona) will begin this week, so last Sunday we went for a walk.

Manta para cuna / Blanket for a cradle

He empezado una manta para la cuna de mi sobrinillo. Espero tener acabada para San José (19 de marzo), porque es cuando vendrán a pasar unos días a Barcelona.

I have begun a blanket for the cradle of my little nephew. I hope to finish it for Saint Joseph's day (19 March), because tha's when they'll come to Barcelona for some days.

De momento he comenzado con la aplicación: un osito de antelina.

I've begun with the appliqué work: a bear made of suede.

Mientras estaba de vacaciones fuera de Barcelona recibí un par de adornos más. El primero es un original adorno de Katie (Sew Katie Sew) y, tal como explica en su blog, está hecho de arcilla y ha utilizado un molde de galleta.

While I was on holiday out of Barcelona, I received two more ornaments. The first one is an original ornament from Katie (Sew Katie Sew) and, as she explains in her blog, it's made of clay and she has used springerle molds.

El segundo adorno es de Joanne (prettypretty), de Sudáfrica. Las ilustraciones de los pájaros que ha utilizado son preciosas!

The 2nd ornament is from Joanne (prettypretty), from South Africa. The illustrations of the birds are beautiful!

FELIZ AÑO NUEVO a tod@s!! Espero que hayáis pasado unas Felices Fiestas. En mi caso, estoy muy contenta porque el día de Navidad nació mi sobrinito!! Precioso (qué voy a decir yo! ;)) y, lo más importante, bien de salud. No te cansas de mirarle...

Saquito de lavanda que le he regalado a mi abuela estas Navidades. Tenía previsto hacer un par más para mi madre y mi tía, pero puedo dar gracias de que acabé el gorrito de lana pendiente para mi sobrinillo.

Lavender sacket I gave to my grandmother at Christmas. I should have made two more for my mother and one of my aunts, but I should be thankful to have finished the wool bonnet for my nephew.

Neceser y Feliz Navidad! / Little bag & Merry Christmas!

He acabado el neceser que empecé hace un mes. Estoy bastante contenta con el resultado, sobre todo con los colores. Sin embargo, la tira que sujeta el botón ha quedado demasiado grande y cuesta cerrarlo, pero ya le he dicho a la profe que este lo dejo así (es para mí) y los que haga para regalar ya quedarán mejor.

I have finished the little bag I began one month ago. I'm quite happy with the result, especially with the colours. However, the strip for the button is too big and it's quite difficult to fasten it, but I've told my teacher that I won't change it (this one is for me) and the ones I'll do as a gift I'll do it better.

El lunes empiezo las vacaciones de Navidad, y la semana que viene me voy al pueblo (en la provincia de Burgos) para conocer a mi futuro sobrinito, que está a punto de nacer! No creo que me pueda conectar hasta después de Reyes, así que FELICES FIESTAS a tod@s!!!!!
Next Monday I'll begin my Christmas Holidays, and next week I'm going to a small village in Burgos (in the middle of Spain) to meet my future nephew, who is just about to be born! I don't think I'll connect till past the festivity of the Three Wise Men, so MERRY CHRISTMAS to everybody!!!!!

He recibido dos nuevos adornos! No veáis qué ilusión hace cuando llegas a casa y ves que has recibido un paquetito del otro lado del mundo!

I have received two new ornaments! I'm thrilled when I get home and I see I've received a package from the other side of the world!

El primero me lo envía Jeannelle (Liberty) y es absolutamente adorable!! Es un pajarillo precioso! En el paquetito venía también un broche de la cabeza de un muñeco de nieve.

The first one is from Jeannelle (Liberty) and it's absolutely adorable!! It's a lovely little bird! In the package there was also a brooch (snowman head).

El 2º adorno es de eepsie y es una original chapa cortada y pintada a mano, con un resultado increíble!

The 2nd one is from eepsie and it's an original sheet cut and hand-painted: the result is incredible!
